How Residencies Are Structured
Residencies at the studio take different forms, depending on duration, intent, and depth of engagement.
Program-Based Residencies
These are fixed-format residencies with a defined focus on a specific material or process. They run for a set duration, involve a small group, and are structured around hands-on work in the studio.
Longer-Term Studio Residencies
These involve extended engagement with the studio, typically for individuals working on a focused inquiry or body of work. They are offered selectively and are structured around process rather than output.
Custom and Collaborative Residencies
These are developed in collaboration with individuals, collectives, or institutions. The structure, duration, and focus are defined jointly, based on the nature of the inquiry or project.
Not all residency formats are open at all times.
